Today we are doing R12 LINK Testing and suddenly one user pinged me saying that i am not able switch to User Management responsibility from other responsibility.

Here is the error he is getting:



                                         



Error
Following errors are thrown when switched to User Management responsibility

There are no valid navigation for this responsibility

Cause: Application Object Library was unable to loade the menu for the current responsibility

Cause: The Menu compilation has failed

CAuse: There is no valid Menu defined for this responsibility

Cause: There are no navigable forms associated with this responsibility

Action: Contact your system administrator. ensure that a valid menu, containing navigable forms, is defined for the responsibility. Ensure that the menu is correctly complied.




Root Cause of the Error
'Security Administrator' and 'Customer Administrator' Roles are not granted to the user to which User Management responsibility has been assigned
How to reproduce the error?
1. Add 'User Management' responsibility to an existing user
2. Switch responsibility to 'User Management' responsibility
Solution
1. Login with SYSADMIN user
2. Go to User Administrator responsibility > Users page > Find user to which you have added User Management responsibility
3. Click Update > Assign Roles
4. Assign roles 'Security Administrator' and 'Customer Administrator', and hit the Apply button
5. Now re-login using the user through which you were getting the error.
6. Switch responsibility to 'User Management'. The error will not appear this time and you will be able to see the menu.
